The Workers' Party (Spanish: Partido Obrero) is an Argentine Trotskyist (left-wing socialist) political party. It is the largest national section of the Co-ordinating Committee for the Refoundation of the Fourth International.
At the Argentine legislative election, 2009 this party had 1.1% of the vote. [1] Its strongest vote in this and some other recent elections has been in Salta Province in the north west, particularly in the city of Salta itself, its next best has been in neighbouring Catamarca.
Its members have included Jorge Altamira, Néstor Pitrola, Gabriela Arroyo and Mariano Ferreyra.
It is participating in the Workers Left Front.
His main publication his the weekly Prensa Obrera (Workers' Press), started in 1982.[1] Its articles are often distributed and translated in other countries.
